invented journeys travel diaries

This series was started during during the early months of the covid-19 pandemic. We were all staying inside our homes, afraid to venture out other than for very short trips to the store for basic necessities. I started imagining being able to travel again. It seems silly now in hindsight, but at that time we couldn’t know for sure if that could ever be a reality again. These works are collaged and painted, using scraps of maps and other paper to represent the wonderful sights and colors to be found in far-flung places. Each is 27 x 27 inches, done on wonderful handmade khadi paper from India.
