Excavation series

These pieces are made from various layers of paper, including handmade by artist from recycled materials, as well as culled from various sources including textbooks, newspapers, sheet music, instruction inserts, product wrappers, etc. Papers are layered and stitched, then torn through to the various layers, thus the term “excavation.”
