Chronicles IV, 36 x 36 inches, ©2007
One of the great things about blogging is, of course, the immediacy of it. While updating my web site to include all my recent work is a big job and not one to be undertaken lightly, putting something up on the blog is a pretty quick affair. So I will use this opportunity to show a few things from time to time that haven’t made it to the web site.
Chronicles IV, above, is part of a series that was installed last year at Lone Tree Library in Lone Tree, Colorado. You can see the full series on my Stitched Textiles > Squares page here. Below is a shot of the installation.
what a fantastic installation! The work compliments the space perfectly.
Thanks, Joanie!

Wow, I found your blog through Pam’s. You guys are tempting me to do my own. But working full time doesn’t leave a lot of time for art-play time. Hmmm, the wheels are turning.
I love seeing all the pieces together in the library, it really gives a feel for your use of color.

Hi, Mary Ann.
Well, I said for a long time that I didn’t have time either. But you just do it when you can! The setup took a lot of time, but now I think it’s fun. I took a look at your site; the “Things your mother warned you about” are great! Can’t wait to see more of them.
Deirdre,
I’ve clicked on over to your website a couple of times (probably a mention from Lisa’s) and have enjoyed the lucsious textures you get. It’s amazing though how your work looks more stupendous when installed. I don’t know how that is, but I’ve seen this library picture twice now, and both times the moment my eye hits it, it’s one great big YES!

This is a great piece, love the colours, and composition. I can’t see from the pic if it’s a quilt mounted on canvas. The rest of the pieces look great in the space.
